ACUITY and DuFour Entertain & Win Gold Addy'sPosted on: March 02, 2011
Sheboygan, WI - The American Advertising Federation (AAF) Fox River has awarded DuFour Advertising, LLC Gold ADDY®’s for designing the ACUITY 2009 “Family Pizzaria” Annual Report and for the ACUITY 2010 Circus Speaking Tour schedule and collateral.
“It’s a pleasure to work with ACUITY. They have always allowed us freedom in our creativity to deliver unique messages to their clients and agents—with achieving great results the objective,” said DuFour President, Tim DuFour, “and receive recognition for our work!”
“In the ADDY judging process, ACUITY competes against companies across all industries, not just insurance,” said Ben Salzmann, ACUITY President and CEO. “Earning Gold ADDY Awards is remarkable because it demonstrates how effective our creative approach to corporate communications is.”
The once again unique annual report is, essentially, a round annual report book that looks like a pizza and was delivered in a pizza box with napkins, placemat, crayons, recipe cards, mints, and coupon inside as well. The book highlights the company achievments in a menu-like format with images of Italian dishes on paper placemats that feature specially made KENKEN® and Sudoku® puzzles, mazes and recipe cards that correspond with the image on the page. “The goal is to make their annual report FUN—everyone will be entertained,” says DuFour, “and everyone reads it—two missions accomplished!”
The Circus Theme Speaking Tour pieces feature ACUITY President, Ben Salzmann, and tour speakers as circus charactors. The invitation and the follow-up pieces included a circus poster, cotton candy, barrel of monkeys, animal crackers, peanuts, tattoos, clown nose—all in specially designed packaging for the event. The AAF is a non-profit professional trade association serving Northeast Wisconsin’s advertising and marketing communications community including agencies, advertisers, the media, vendors and students. With over 60,000 entries annually, the ADDY Awards are the nation’s largest and most representative advertising competition honoring creative excellence in all advertising mediums. Gold ADDY winners automatically advance to the district competition, which consists of winning work from Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota and then advance to the national competition.
