ACUITY's “A Storybook Year” Annual Report Wins International Award

Sheboygan, WI – The Pop-Up Annual Report “A Storybook Year” 2010 has received a HERMES Creative Award.

“Every year we look forward to handing out the Annual Report to our employees and our agents. It’s a very anticipated book that, I’m very happy to say, is actually read! For an Annual Report to be read is quite an accomplishment – one that we pride ourselves in,” says Wally Waldhart, Vice President Sales and Communications, ACUITY Insurance.

The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs and print, visual and audio materials. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, graphic design shops web and digital creators and freelancers.

The Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production, web and free-lance professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.

“This extremely complicated and intricate project took 17 months to complete. With the help of a world-renowned paper engineer, Andy Baron, children’s book illustrator, Aaron Boyd and our Art Director and Production Artist, Drew Foerster the book took form and is, honestly, our proudest accomplishment!”, says Tim DuFour, owner of DuFour Advertising, LLC. “We have entered it in many competitions and it has come out on top over and over,” he goes on to say.

The 2010 Annual Report has 8 spreads, each with completely different expanding images, with parts that move and open to reveal something unexpected. Side pullouts and tiny booklets all hold the financials in precise, to-the-point information in graphics and poetry.
