Sheboygan, WI – Tim and Kathryn DuFour are proud to announce that their company, DuFour Advertising, LLC, recently passed the 30-year milestone in business. In 1979 they moved to Sheboygan to pursue careers in advertising and, shortly thereafter, Tim opened DuFour & Associates Design Studio, which soon developed into a full service marketing/advertising agency—DuFour Advertising. Both graduated from the prestigious Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. Later, Tim extended his education in business and marketing at Silver Lake College. Kathryn worked as the JMKAC’s Publications Designer before joining the firm in 1987.
DuFour has won countless local to international awards for their creative thinking and, sometimes, edgy work. Recently they were awarded International Platinum MarCom awards (out of over 60,000 entries) for an ACUITY annual report (illustrated by Kathryn) and an agency speaking tour campaign, also for ACUITY.
The annual holiday greeting (this year marks the 30th) continue as imaginative icons for the agency. “We use the holiday greeting piece each year to emphasize our creativity and to market what we ”DU“…after all, that’s what the client is looking for,” says President, Tim DuFour.
“Everything reflects both our Mission Statement: ’Developing Great Ideas.’ and our Vision Statement: ’We will offer clients a unique experience, driven by our focus on results and passion for excellence. We strongly believe— You can not delegate creativity, you can only nurture it,’” DuFour goes on to say.
“We want the client to encourage us to get way outside the box and DU what we DU best, be creative,” says Kathryn DuFour, “Over the years DuFour has had the opportunity to be creative for a myriad of clients, both local and national, some large some small, they all are important in that they allowed us to sustain our business, and as a result support the Sheboygan area.”
Their clients cover a wide variety of industries from recreation to manufacturing, healthcare and hospitality, tourism to insurance, housewares and food service, and many more. Current and past clients include Kohler Co., ACUITY Insurance, Vollrath, Mercury Marine, Wigwam Mills, Lava Brand Motion Lamps and Manitowoc Food Service, to name just a few.
